1. With the onset of warmer weather, the flowering pears and dogwood trees are in bloom... and my antihistamines are having trouble keeping up. I have had several tremendous sneezing fits, at least twice in front of a class, and a couple of days have begun with sinuses and throat feeling like the early stages of a cold. Still, the flowers are beautiful.

2. I'm continuing to make slow but steady progress in my research. This morning, I noticed another interesting property of one of the classes of quadrilaterals I've found. (I'll get back to discussing what I'm doing soon, hopefully with a somewhat lighter touch than the last one.)

3. A few days ago, Gracie puked on my bed, cause unknown. I had enough time to wash the sheet before bedtime, but that night she woke me up twice retching. (Both times I got her into the tub before she threw up.) Not much sleep that night.... Fortunately, whatever it was hasn't recurred.

4. I'm close to completing my Ring of Fire marathon; I'm in the middle of The Dreeson Incident and won't be rereading The Tangled Web, so only Volume V of The Grantville Gazette remains. I'll have to check: has The Eastern Front come out yet, or any other related volumes?

5. I've just about finished writing my joint paper with my former student CK; I just need to insert the bibliography and references. I'll send CK a .pdf once I'm done, to see if she has any comments, but should be able to get it submitted by the end of the month. (Of course, I've been saying things like that last for close to a year now....)
