stoutfellowDue to external causes, well beyond my ability to change or influence, I am in a bad mood today. What kind of bad mood varies from moment to moment, but none of them are pleasant.
Fortunately, I've finished all the substantive revisions to the prisms paper; what remains amounts to typesetting, and won't require much if any creative thought. This, I can do pretty much on autopilot.
Must work to avoid letting this spill over into my dealings with students. There are two of them whose situations are on my mind. I mentioned one of them before; I haven't yet responded to that student's message, and if I do so in my present mood I'm liable to be savage. The other is in a financial and academic bind, and the two sides are feeding off each other; I'm working on a way of, possibly, breaking the link, but it requires careful thought, which the current mess isn't conducive to.
