Last Warm Day

It's a beautifully warm day today - long-sleeve weather, but no need even for a windbreaker - so I took the opportunity to wander over to Borders. Naturally, I spent rather more money than I probably should have. The haul:
Music:
A "Greatest Hits" album by Roy Clark. (I've been browsing my LJ archives, and ran across a plea for country-music recommendations; Clark was one of those mentioned.)
John Mellencamp's Life Death Love & Freedom album. (His name came up in a Springsteen thread on Balloon Juice, and I liked what I read, so....)
The Beatles' Magical Mystery Tour. (Still working on the complete set.)
Books:
A History of the Habsburg Empire, 1526-1918, by Robert Kann. (The blurb says that Kann pays attention to the various subject peoples, instead of just concentrating on the goings-on in Vienna.)
Mad Ship, the second volume of Robin Hobb's Liveship trilogy.
Anathem, Neal Stephenson. Just because.
False Colours, by Georgette Heyer (which I already have, dammit. I'm taking a vow not to buy any Heyer unless I have immediate access to the list of her books that I've already got.)
Deadhouse Gates, by Steven Erikson. (I read the first book of the series a while back, and again, the archives tell me that I liked it.)
Mushi-shi 1. Dipping another toe into the waters of manga; I seem to recall LMB speaking well of this series.
Empire of Ivory, Naomi Novik, book four of the Temeraire series. Insubstantial, but fairly enjoyable.
Echoes of Honor, David Weber. This is the second half of the story which began in In Enemy Hands, and it's been highly recommended to me.
Something to do in the long dark hours....
