stoutfellow1. For the last several days, I haven't been able to access LanguageLog. Every time I try, nothing happens; the tab sits and spins, but to no avail. (If it's the only tab running, the dataflow indicator goes black after a while, as opposed to the green that indicates communication with the outside world.) I'm thinking one of my protection programs might be involved - probably ZA - but a cursory check reveals nothing.
2. For other readers of Girl Genius: I've been thinking about the conversation between Agatha and Vrin when they were both imprisoned in Sturmhalten. Vrin's story of The Lady makes it sound as though the geisterdamen are from another dimension, and that Lucrezia went there to give birth to Agatha. That would explain the absence of records of Agatha's birth at Castle Heterodyne, among other things. Does this make sense to anyone else?
3. Gracie is really an attention hog. If I'm petting her, Buster will come up and sit nearby, making it clear that he'd like some attention too; but if I'm petting Buster, Gracie will come wriggling up and squirm in between us, actually pushing twice-her-size Buster away. (On the other hand, Buster tends to flop and roll when I pet him, and sometimes he flops-and-rolls on Gracie, so maybe they're even.)
