Pretty much the same story, here, regarding age/lifestyle during the Music Video Age. I seem to have seen more of them than you have, but most of those have been while taking my kids rollerskating and thus I wasn't really paying attention to the vids.
And I've managed to spend most of my adult life happily cable-TV-free, so this notion of "music video channels" is something alien that belongs in Other People's Lives. Even as a 'flyby' phenomenon.
