Help?

I just upgraded to Firefox 3, and I find that AdSubtract is no longer able to find the cookies file. Since cookie control was my main reason for using AdSubtract, this is a problem. I went online to hunt for an AdSubtract upgrade, in hopes that that would handle the trouble, but apparently it is no longer being supported. So:

Does anyone know of a way I can get AdSubtract to find the cookies file? Alternatively, does anyone know of another program that could take AdSubtract's place?

It appears that Adblock Plus, and Extended Cookie Manager do the same thing that AdSubtract does, and for Firefox 3.0.

Yep, that was my thought. Adblock Plus with filterset.g in particular, and the cookie manager.

Also, I'm afraid I'm quite jaundiced about Trend Micro's support for anything reasonably recent (Red Hat 5 has been out over a year, and is their enterprise antivirus/antispam solution available for that OS? No. Is it on any roadmap? Not that they've bothered telling me).

I installed Adblock Plus and Extended Cookie Manager, despite warnings that the latter could cause serious performance degradation. Sure enough, it did. I disabled ECM and those problems went away.

I think I've figured out how to get Firefox's built-in cookie manager to do what I want; it's a little clumsier than AdSubtract was, but it should do.

Also, I checked on AdSubtract, and it looks like the product has been retired: http://www.intermute.com/products/adsubtract.html
