stoutfellowBecause of the dental work, Ben has to be on soft food for the next few days, so today I went over to Shop'n'Save and picked up a dozen cans of Pedigree Choice Cuts in Sauce. I was concerned that Ben's appetite might be down, and I know he loves that brand, so.... It's kind of inconvenient - a dog Ben's size needs two cans of that stuff per day - but you do what you have to.
Unfortunately, Murphy also loves that brand. This evening I put out Murphy's usual helping of dry food, and brought Ben a bowlful of Choice Cuts. (Ben spent most of the day in the main bathroom; it's cool and quiet back there.) I spent the next ten minutes fending Murphy away from Ben's dish. Ben could do the job himself, but under the circumstances I thought that was a bad idea.
Sigh. No help for it; I'll have to feed Murphy the soft food too.
I love my boys, but some days are more stressful than others.
