Cross-reference
Aug. 12th, 2019 01:35 pmA while back, I bought a handful of books by authors whom I enjoyed back in the '60s and '70s: Morris West, Irving Wallace, Arthur Hailey, Leon Uris, James Michener, Fletcher Knebel, and Allen Drury. I've finished a couple of them and may talk about them later; I'm working my way through most of the rest now, likewise.
I was just amused by a bit in the Uris book, _QB VII_. The scene takes place in a publisher's office, where the future of the firm is being discussed. One character makes a comment about "how you get the Micheners and the Irving Wallaces". Apparently I'm not the only one who links those authors together.
