The Library of America just sent me a flyer listing the volumes they'll be publishing this year. There are several that look good. There's a Booth Tarkington volume with "The Magnificent Ambersons", "Alice Adams", and "In the Arena: Stories of Political Life", and a Frances Hodgson Burnett with "The Secret Garden", "A Little Princess", and "Little Lord Fauntleroy". (I have the first two of those in e-form, via Project Gutenberg, but having a nicely bound dead-tree edition will be good.)

The real prizes are SFnal: Ursula Le Guin's "Always Coming Home", the Author's Expanded Edition, including an unpublished novella, and another two-volume set of American SF. The first one (1960-66) includes Anderson's "The High Crusade", Simak's "Way Station", the novel version of "Flowers for Algernon", and Zelazny's "... And Call Me Conrad". (I have the first two, and the original, shorter version of FfA, but I don't think I've ever read the Zelazny.) The second (1968-69) includes Lafferty's "Past Master" (which I have), Russ' "Picnic on Paradise" (which I've never even heard of, but then I've never really looked into Russ' work), Delany's "Nova" (which I once read and enjoyed but don't have), and Vance's "Emphyrio" (which I know nothing about, but hey, it's Jack Vance!).

The Le Guin is supposed to come out in spring, and the two SF volumes in fall. Something to look forward to!
