Alea Iacta Est
Nov. 10th, 2017 07:25 amYesterday, after literal months of anxious dithering, I finally submitted my paper on the classification of polygons for publication. (Full title: "Towards a Taxonomy of Polygons I: Form Classes and Triangles".)
I'm nervous about this one, because I have no idea whether anyone else will be interested in it. My mood oscillates between "Ugh, no one's going to care" and "Hey, this is really neat stuff!" But if it is accepted, it will be (as the title suggests) the first of a series of papers on the subject - I'm currently envisioning five of them. (I've outlined and begun writing the second, and I have a mental outline of the third. Four and five are still a little fuzzy, but I have time to do more research to flesh them out.) Collectively, they may be my magnum opus (out of an admittedly rather small pool).
All I can do now is wait.
