I was just listening to U2's "Pride (In the Name of Love)", and a thought struck me. The song makes a reference to the assassination of Dr. King. It's not the only song in my collection that does that: certainly Neil Diamond's "Dry Your Eyes", and possibly Carole King's "Eventually" - although that last one is vague, and could be speaking of one or both Kennedys.
Of course, there are other songs that also refer to him; "Abraham, Martin, and John" is probably the best known. Mary Chapin Carpenter's "Stones in the Road" contains a reference to Bobby Kennedy's funeral cortege, and the Byrds' "He Was a Friend of Mine" is about JFK.
Anyone remember any other songs, from the '60s or later, about one or more of those three?
