Walt Hickey, of fivethirtyeight.com, is intrigued by the data analysis available via Nestify and similar engines, revealing his ten most-played songs since January 2013. I found this confessional bit amusing:

Let’s dissect No. 5 briefly. “Let it Go,” a song from “Frozen,” Disney’s 2013 animated feature film, is 3 minutes and 44 seconds long, and playing it 107 times means that I’ve spent slightly more than six and a half hours of my life listening to Idina Menzel telling the world where to stick it. This is slightly less than four times the run length of the entire film.

Unlike Hickey (and, apparently, the majority of the hip crowd), I still keep my music on my own computer, and AFAIK no one keeps tabs on my tastes. But I'm a dinosaur, I guess....
