Yesterday, expecting a longish day at work, I packed a PB&J sandwich and a Tupperware container of the minestrone casserole. We're in the middle of a search for another Math Ed hire, and I had to go in early for one of her presentations. As we were leaving the classroom, W asked whether I was joining them for lunch. I demurred, but he persuaded me otherwise. (The stuff was in the fridge in the faculty lounge; it would keep.) I wound up eating a rather large green salad (well, green if you don't count the boiled eggs, the tomato, the bacon bits, and the other assorted additions) and found no need to eat either of the items I'd brought. I figured I'd eat them today, which would again be a long day.
There's a smallish (3-6" forecast) snowstorm on its way here. Word just came down that the university is closing as of 1:45, well before my classes today.
I suspect the sandwich will be a little soggy tomorrow. The casserole should be fine.
