Since I don't teach on Tuesdays, this past was effectively a four-day weekend for me. I didn't get much done; Sunday afternoon, cold symptoms snuck up on me. They seem to have pretty much subsided now, though my throat's still a little scratchy.
One nice thing: I paid a visit to the Baen Free Library. Most of what they hadn't didn't interest me, but I noticed a couple of Nortons and investigated. Each turned out to be a combo of two novels; I already had one novel from each combo, but the other was something I wanted, so I downloaded both books. (One of them contained Star Rangers, which was one of the first SF novels I ever read, and which I've been hunting for a long time.)
Also, my dryer has been repaired; the repairman said it was the simplest call he'd had all day. Apparently one of the doohickeys adjacent to the band had been misaligned, and it had been chewing the band to pieces almost from the beginning. I'm assuming the repairman shifted it into its correct position....
Ah, well. Time to get back in harness.
