Missing the Point
Aug. 17th, 2012 08:27 amThere was a letter to the editor in today's Post-Dispatch complaining that an editorial cartoon was too partisan.
Not that it was vicious, not that it propagated lies, not that it was crude and nasty, but because it was too partisan.
The same letter also complained that an editorial right next to the cartoon was partisan.
(I'm reminded of the parson who objected to a magazine's serial publication of The Screwtape Letters, on the grounds that the advice given in those letters was positively diabolical.)
