Better Days
Feb. 12th, 2011 11:49 amWell, now, that's more like it. The current forecast has us staying above freezing (even the lows) for the next four days at least. The ice and snow is turning to slush, which is at least better for walking. There are still a few slick spots, but mostly it's just messy, not hazardous.
There's a storm drain around the corner that always attracts the dogs' attention on walks. At one point last week it was absolutely stuffed with snow, but Buster could still smell something down there. He pushed his entire face into the snow in search of it; his ears were literally lying flat on the snow, on either side. I let him snuff his fill while Gracie bounced around him, trying without success to figure out what was going on.
