Long Cold Day

Today, I go back to work. This is my late day: my one class is 6:00-7:15, and I'll get home sometime after 8:00. Unfortunately, there's also a department meeting at 11:00. From what I know, it won't be a very important meeting, but I can't skip it - as chair of the department Policy Committee, I also chair the meetings. (This frees the Department Chair to participate fully.) So I'll have to leave the house at about 9:30 - about an hour from now. The temperature at 7:50, according to Yahoo! Weather, was 3F; the predicted high is 23F; and the overnight low - more relevant to me, given that I'll be returning after sunset - will be 7F. Not fun. I'm wearing my long johns under my pants.
