Dental Care
Apr. 27th, 2010 10:21 amAs part of Gracie's dental care, the vet gave me a packet of something called OraVet. Basically, it's a bunch of goop (in handy disposable cartridges) and some applicators that look like giant Q-Tips; once a week I have to break open a cartridge, scoop up some of the goop on the applicator, and smear it over the outer surfaces of Gracie's teeth and gums. It's not easy, especially on the lower teeth; getting her lip out of the way is a problem.
Fortunately, Gracie doesn't fight me on it. In fact, this morning when I got the kit out, she came wagging up to me. Her posture was more submissive than joyful, but she didn't run from me, as she does when I catch her making a mess in the house. When we were done, she bounced up and raced into the kitchen, which is where the treats are....
Wish I could stay home today and play with them, but this is the busiest time of the semester.
