The meatloaf is quite good.

The soup is a bit bland, but acceptable.

The pie is very good.

The dogs are licking the plates with relish, although I'm not sure what that proves.

Pratchett

Most of Terry Pratchett's books are good. Many are excellent. But The Fifth Elephant, which I just finished rereading, holds a special place in my heart, specifically for one passage: the bit near the end, when Angua asks Carrot what he would do, if she ever went the way Wolfgang did. That, I think, is my favorite scene in the entire Discworld series.
