Well, I'm more or less done with this semester's work; I handed in my final grades yesterday, and my two Senior Project students have made and passed their presentations. (The reason for "more or less"? Both need to make substantial revisions to their papers, under my supervision. This can be handled by e-mail, at least for the moment.)

mbernardi arrived Monday night, and I've shown him some of the delights of Edwardsville, such as they are.... We did visit a local bookstore that I'd only been to once before, and I came away with half a dozen books. (I'll hold off on listing them, since I expect to make quite a few more purchases at the convention.) He restrained himself to a single book and... let's just call it a souvenir. He can describe it on his journal if he likes.

filkferengi and spouse arrived yesterday, and we had dinner at a fairly nice Chinese restaurant. Plans were planned and orders given (and I don't mean just to the waiter)¹.

We'll be leaving for Collinsville in a couple of hours. Cue Carly Simon².
