Well, here I am. The flight was uneventful (although the shenanigans on the ground were less than pleasant), and my sister E. and her husband were patient enough to cool their heels at the SD airport until about 10:30 PM to pick me up.
I didn't finish the rewrite; there are just too many places where I said, "It is easy to see that...". It'll have to wait until I return. (I use a math-specific word processor that I only have at the office, so I can't do anything about it until then.) I have started sketching out the next paper, though.
I goofed up; I ordered a Christmas gift from Amazon, and underestimated how long it would take them to get it to me. (I'm not criticizing them; I could have forestalled the problem easily, but waited too long to do so.) At last report, it was somewhere between Fernley, NV and my home. I've made arrangements with my dogsitter to relay it to me as soon as it arrives there, but I'll just have to make my apologies to the intended recipient. (The family gift exchange is today.)
Ah, well. I'm still sleep-deprived from yesterday, so I'm not going to attempt any substantial posting, but there are a couple of items in the queue. Later, later...
