Brief Interlude
Dec. 14th, 2004 01:32 pmOne test given (but not yet graded), two to go.
I haven't mentioned what I've been reading lately. Over Thanksgiving break I reread the Harry Potter novels. I finished Matt Ruff's Sewer, Gas and Electric, which is a truly bizarre story. I should probably give that one a full review, but it may take me a while to make sense of it. I'm now reading Race of Scorpions, the third book in Dunnett's "House of Niccolo" series. I've been neglecting Machiavelli's Discourses, but I'm less than a hundred pages from the end now. I hope to finish it before taking off for SD.
I've made a number of minor corrections to the paper, but there are a few bits that definitely need a rewrite - and I still don't have a conclusion. Gaah. (On the other hand, I have selected a journal to submit it to - The Journal of Geometry, naturally enough.) And I'll finish that discussion of arithmetic when I have the time and leisure...
