Thanksgiving Prep
Nov. 24th, 2004 09:47 amWhoo-ee, it's nasty out there today - cold, windy and wet. It's raining now, but we're supposed to get a little snow - the first of the season - by afternoon. I decided not to go onto campus today after all. Friday's supposed to be a bit nicer - drier, if no warmer - and I'll probably go in then instead. [Update, ca. 12:30 CST: It is now snowing.]
I did run over to Shop'n'Save to get the fixings for tomorrow - a couple of pie crusts, a couple of tomatoes, a red bell pepper, some portobello mushrooms, eggs, a brick of sharp cheddar, and a frozen cheesecake. I decided not to do anything fancy. In place of my usual bowl of cereal, I'll make an omelet - cheddar, pepper, some of the mushrooms - for breakfast, and use the tomatoes and the rest of the cheddar and mushrooms in a quiche for dinner, with the cheesecake for dessert.
The rest of the family will be gathering at C.'s house; I'll give them a call sometime in the afternoon.
