More Music
May. 8th, 2004 10:57 amUpon consideration, I've begun creating multiple playlists. I don't want homogenous playlists, though, so I'm just grabbing a dozen or so albums at random, recording them, and turning the result into a playlist. The lists wind up being rather long - I estimate 13-15 hours apiece - and there's no way I could listen all the way through to any of them. But by hitting "shuffle" each time they play, I should get a crack at each song on the list eventually.
The first playlist contains: Seventh Sojourn, the Moody Blues; Suddenly, Billy Ocean; Donovan's Greatest Hits; Mariah Carey; Greatest Hits, the Kingston Trio; Come On, Come On, Mary Chapin Carpenter; Scenes from the South Side, Bruce Hornsby and the Range; Faster Than the Speed of Night, Bonnie Tyler; Let It Loose, Gloria Estefan; Grandes Exitos, Shakira; and the two-disc set Motown: The Classic Years.
The second: EWF, Earth, Wind & Fire; The End of the Innocence, Don Henley; Lives in the Balance, Jackson Browne; The United Artists Collection, Gordon Lightfoot (2 disks); Don Quixote, Gordon Lightfoot; Sunshine, Lollipops & Rainbows, Lesley Gore; Greatest Hits, Suzy Bogguss; Anyone Who Had a Heart, Dionne Warwick; The Colour of My Love, Celine Dion; Goin' Back, Dusty Springfield; Truly, Lionel Richie; and The Four Tops.
The third will consist of: The World of Sheena Easton; Twenty Years of Dirt, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band; The Singles 1969-1973, The Carpenters; The Best of Gene Pitney, vols. 1 and 3; The Hollies' Greatest Hits; Their Greatest Hits, Herman's Hermits; The Neil Diamond Collection; The Best of the Temptations, vol. 2; Aretha's Best; The Best of Jefferson Airplane; and Serious Hits...Live!, Phil Collins.
Just in case anyone was curious about my musical tastes...
