More Door?

Murphy continues to make messes in the house.

I see one more step I can take: expand the outer doggie door the same way I did the inner one. (He does seem to have trouble making even the small hop the outer door demands. He can do it, but he'll gather himself, make false starts, retreat and look beseechingly at me...) If that doesn't work, I'm at a loss.

Lately he seems to have taken to coming to let me know that he's pooped in the house. Maybe he's trying to help...

Murphy seems a willing sort: Could you re-train him to do his business indoors using the "litter box" equivalents that exist for dogs?
