Words, Words, Words

There is a theorem - a small theorem, maybe only a proposition. It is a simple theorem, an easy one, even an obvious one, but I have to write it out, proof and all, in detail, before I can proceed with the main body of Taxonomy II. It says where to look for isolated classes; the real meat is in the looking.

And I'm having trouble writing it. The words come lumpy, clumsy, too fast here, too slow there. Frustrating. I will not-think about it for a couple of days, then try again.

[I'm rereading Beagle's wonderful "The Innkeeper's Song", and the section I just read is from the point of view of Fox. If you've read the book, you'll know where the voice of the previous paragraphs came from.]
