Low Calibre?

I just downloaded three books to my Kindle, and then, as usual, went to put them on Calibre. I was expecting that they'd be DRMed beyond Calibre's capacity to strip. I was not expecting Calibre not to be able to find them.

Anybody have any idea what's going on here?

I suspect it's related to the new format - I've noticed that when I manually load one of the new format books into Calibre from Kindle for PC, it knows nothing about it. I think the new format isn't exposing any metadata at all.

Per Apprentice Alf's announcement of the DeDRM 6.5.3 Tools at https://apprenticealf.wordpress.com/2017/01/12/dedrm-tools-6-5-3-released/:

For the Kindle tools, an attempt has been made to give an explicit error message for the new KFX format ebooks.

I know that Kindle for PC is downloading the new format to ...\My Kindle Content\{Amazon_Product_ID}

A work-around to let Calibre deal with them is to use the My Devices & Content section of My Account at Amazon to download the books manually, and then load that into Calibre.
