Just a quick note to say that I'm safe in San Diego. I got everything done. (Exception: I forgot to mail off my credit card payments; they're sitting on my desk back home. Late fees, here I come!)

The family gift exchange is today; we'll be headed to O's place sometime soon.

I pay all my credit cards online. If you know your checking account number and bank routing number, you can probably set that up. Others allow you to pay by phone for a fee, which may be less than a late fee. Or maybe your late fees aren't that bad.

It's a personal choice which option you prefer, but there are options.

I'd second Andrew's suggestion. If you don't want to totally switch to online payment, you may be able to do just this one-time payment by calling and explaining what happened--er, or, what didn't happen as planned, that is. Late fees vary, but all of them are going to be more (probably WAY more) than whatever small charge there may be to pay this way once.

Glad to know you made it to SD okay. I pulled up the forecasts for E-ville and it was looking awfully bleak. Enjoy the mild temps and sunshine!
