Apparently, when you buy one of those compressed-air squirters, the cashier is required to ask your age, despite the fact that you have a full beard, half of which is gray.

Sensibly, she did not card me.

Erm, what are young idiots going to do with compressed-air squirters, or should I not ask?

As for the cashier asking your age, good on you for not replying "I'm 16, but I look older". I would have been tempted, myself.
