Jim. I will let the family know. We send our sympathies and we know of your friends have met each other and are chasing rabbits and birds and frisbees (yes they have frisbees in heavan), again our deepest sympathies. Donanddad
You have my deepest sympathies. I know you worried about it, but I've been confident all along that you would know when the time had come for this decision, and make no mistake, it was a decision of love and compassion for Ben, for his comfort and quality of life. No matter how difficult it was for you (and I know it broke your heart), you know it was best for him, and that's your comfort in this. You took the best possible care of your friend, including his end of life care, and more than that no one could do. Ben was one lucky dog. Bless you, dear Jim.
Thank you. It was hard - in some ways, harder than with Murphy - and harder still because the house is now empty. The weekend was bad enough that I know it was right, but it's going to hurt for a long time.
I am so sorry. That's got to be one of the hardest right things to do, ever. I hope Ben and Murphy are having a wonderful time together out there somewhere...
