"Frank's Place"

Does anybody else remember the short-lived TV series "Frank's Place"? It starred Tim Reid, better known (probably) as Venus Flytrap on "WKRP in Cincinnati". I just stumbled across a brief review of one episode at TWoP, and the whole thing came back to me.

Damn, that was a good show. It only lasted one season, sad to say.

The only episode I saw when it ran was the Capital C Club episode. Very well written and acted. It should have survived.

That was an excellent show! The ep where the snooty folks were willing to "allow" him to join their club was the first time I had heard of light-complected on dark-complected racism among blacks.
