Loyalty

I left San Diego in 1975. In the thirty-two years since then, I have returned there, oh, little more than once a year on average. Through it all, I have remained steadfastly loyal to the Padres and the Chargers.

The events of this weekend do not shake that loyalty. They do, however, leave me searching for a good reason not to beat my head against the nearest wall.
