Friday, I boasted of the Padres' recent success.

Over the weekend, they were swept by the Seattle Mariners. They're tied with Arizona for the division lead; they'll begin a set with Tampa Bay tomorrow.

I think I'll keep my mouth shut.

At least your team wasn't immortalized on Star Trek: Next Generation as being able to "come up with whole new ways to lose" after 300 years. ;)
