Mixed Company
a) This afternoon, I was listening to my Dinah Washington album.
b) I'm currently rereading Fletcher Pratt's _The Battles That Changed History_. (Pratt's works on history are always interesting, if not entirely reliable.) I'm in the middle of the chapter "Quebec, Quiberon, America".
c) As I was reading Pratt's description of the Plains of Abraham, I found my Inner Minstrel singing the words of the text to the tune of "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes": "Wo-o-olfe had trained these men himse-e-elf..."
The human mind is a strange and wondrous place.
