1) This is good. Although I'd call my books more historical with fantastical elements than anything else. Except for my Klondike gold rush novel, which is 100% straight historical except for the last line [g].

2) I'm not into triumphalism of any kind, which is also probably why my ISOTs are not about changing the big picture. More about redemption and second chances on the part of the protagonist.
