Midnight's Children
I'm reading Salman Rushdie's Midnight's Children, which talks (among many other things) about the 20th-century history of India. I just hit a nice satiric line, which could probably find use today:
"'They have turned their backs on us', said the Convocation's posters, 'and now they claim we're standing behind them!'"
Very nice - and faintly, funhouse-mirror style, reflective of Aral Vorkosigan's comments on leadership.
