Singalong

There are some songs in my collection that I almost always sing along with - the chorus, at least - whenever they come up.

The Beach Boys, "Sloop John B".

The Walker Brothers, "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Any More".

Dusty Springfield, "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me".

Simon and Garfunkel, "Homeward Bound".

Shania Twain, "Rock This Country".

Petula Clark, "Downtown" and "The Other Man's Grass Is Always Greener".

The Temptations, "My Girl".

Abba, "Knowing Me, Knowing You".

The Righteous Brothers, "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling".

There are probably others, but those are the ones that come to mind.

What are some of yours?

One of my earliest LJ posts was In Praise of Petula Clark (http://stoutfellow.livejournal.com/33376.html), which was mostly a paean to "Downtown".

"Matador" has been recommended to me before. I'll have to look for it.

That was a fun post. I've always been partial to "I Know A Place."
