Singalong

There are some songs in my collection that I almost always sing along with - the chorus, at least - whenever they come up.

The Beach Boys, "Sloop John B".

The Walker Brothers, "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Any More".

Dusty Springfield, "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me".

Simon and Garfunkel, "Homeward Bound".

Shania Twain, "Rock This Country".

Petula Clark, "Downtown" and "The Other Man's Grass Is Always Greener".

The Temptations, "My Girl".

Abba, "Knowing Me, Knowing You".

The Righteous Brothers, "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling".

There are probably others, but those are the ones that come to mind.

What are some of yours?

How can anyone not sing along to "Downtown"?

"Matador" by Los Fabulosos Cadillacs has got to be one of my favourite sing-along choruses ever. It takes all my self-control not to belt it out on the street when it comes on the iPod.

I pretty much sing along to anything I know the lyrics to [g]. At least if I'm alone. I try not to subject anyone else to my next-door-to-tone-deafness.

Ditto to mmegaera's post, except I can sing on key. I also have the habit of responding with song instead of verbally if I'm in the right mood.
