Miseryin'

Gah. Within my own little bubble of self-importance, this has been a miserable week. What I thought, on Sunday, to be a cold soon revealed itself to be the flu. The body aches and weakness had faded enough by Wednesday morning that I was able to go to work then and again today, but I'm still congested and coughing. I didn't get much done either day - delivered my lectures, briefly met with my Masters' student, and did a little paperwork, but nothing more.

On the other hand... this morning, arriving at work, I found a manila envelope in my office, containing a small package. This proved to be an unlooked-for present from [livejournal.com profile] kattsune, a copy of Jim Butcher's Furies of Calderon, which she had recommended to me earlier in the week. Thank you, [livejournal.com profile] kattsune; it wasn't at all necessary, but it was thoughtful, and I appreciate it. It goes some way towards mitigating this dismal week. I look forward to reading it.

Now, where did I put the Day-Quil?
