The noble Holothurian is honoured by a famous piece of music (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Embryons_dess%C3%A9ch%C3%A9s), a volume of haiku (http://www.amazon.com/Rise-Ye-Sea-Slugs-Elaboration/dp/0974261807), and even an entire city of half a million people (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vladivostok). Why shouldn't it be memoralised in the name of a language with over 100,000 speakers?
