Ka-Boom!

Although my neighborhood was mostly unaffected by Wednesday's sudden and violent thunderstorm¹, we did get clipped by the one yesterday, losing power for about eight hours.

I hadn't realized how many of my daily activities involve the computer. I was kind of at loose ends for most of the blackout period. (I finished reading two novels and started in on a third, by the end having to rely on a flashlight.) The power came back on just in time for me to watch "Stargate SG-1"; too bad it was such a dull episode...

1. Well, apart from getting rained on, wind-blown, and thundered at, of course.

You realize, of course, that the title of your post put the song "Sh-Boom, Sh-Boom" into my head? Well, better by far that than the theme for the KaBoom cereal commercial [which I mercifully no longer recall].
